Muscle Toning?
For the past year, I've been performing strength muscle building. It has a done an adequate job on my physique, but I do believe that I'm doing something wrong or just not enough of something.
I've heard that muscle toning is the process of more reps with lighter weight. What I've been doing, for gaining more muscle, has been heavier weight with about 8-10 reps per set. For each individual muscle group I do, I perform the same exercises each time that I train them (same moves for biceps each week, same ab moves, etc..).
Lately, I haven't been acquiring any improvements in strength, so I was wondering whether my muscles have gotten "used to" what I've been doing.
Should I change my weight lifting methods so that I switch entirely to muscle-toning or should I just change the moves that I perform for my strength-building exercises?
