Muscle Growth?

LeBear asked:

I am recently taking up bodybuilding, and heard from someone that if your muscle hurts the next day, it means that the muscle is tearing and healing - which in the process, the muscle is growing. I had those pain during the first week of work out and the pain is gradually losing bit by bit after a week or two. Question is, does it really mean that my muscle aint growing if I dont feel pain in the muscles I've worked out?

When you first started working out, your body wasn't used to lifting. So that is why your body became sore. Do not become discouraged when you do not keep getting the same feeling. You are still getting stronger and building muscle even if you do not have the same feeling.

Short answer: No.

No, even if it doesn't hurt, its probably still growing if you worked it out. I train with the trainer 5 days a week and the muscles we worked on don't always hurt the next day. But make sure you change your routine every once in a while or they won't be effective after a while. And the longer you have been training, the less the chance of your muscles hurting the next day. But make sure you are working out harder and harder or else they will stop growing after a while.
