muscle excercise?
I am sorry, I am a bit confused with what this means, and I just would like some help
An individual begins a heavy weight lifting routine involving using the biceps muscle (curling repetitions). Immediately after the routine is finished the individual notices an increased size of the biceps muscle region (although there is no change in the size of the muscle fibers). Construct a flow diagram that will indicate all the factors responsible for the increased muscle size. Hint: think of factors that will increase the volume of fluid in the muscle region.
Is it refering an increase of volume IN the vascular tissue…or something like an edema?
the topic for the lecture was on resistance in the arterioles and how it is modified…and we also saw the lymphatic system. Thank you very much

there's an increase in lactic acid, O2, and blood flow in general to the muscle fibers. plus, before muscle fibers can proliferate, the fibers must first be damaged. when muscle fibers are damaged, just like when any other tissue is damaged, that triggers inflammation.
i hope this helps.

There is more blood in the region and more muscle tone from the nervous system after a workout. Lactic acid is not nearly abundant enough to create a bulge.
